GREENFIELD– Join artists who will be painting throughout historic downtown Greenfield in an event leading up to the 2022 Will Vawter Art Competition.

The free Vawter Plein Air Paint event is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at Depot Street Park, 251 Depot St., Greenfield. Stop by the artists’ tent at the west end of the park to pick up gift bags, maps and treats while supplies last. Participants are invited to set up their easels throughout the downtown district and paint. They may return to the tent area 2-3 p.m. for a show-and-tell time; art may also be offered for sale.

The 2022 Will Vawter Art Competition opens at the Twenty North Gallery in downtown Greenfield on Friday, June 10 with awards presented at 7 p.m. The featured Vawter painting “Into the Light” will also be on display, courtesy of the Haan Museum. Visit hancockcountyarts.org for details.
