STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- As holiday shopping ramps up, parents everywhere are looking to get their hands on some of the hottest toys of the holiday season.

And with Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year, right around the corner, now’s the time to start making a list of this year’s must-have items.

Each year, different types of toys fall in and out of favor among youngsters, making it difficult at times for parents to keep up with what’s popular.

To help ease that burden, popular retailers, like Walmart and Amazon, release annual lists of some of their top-rated toys.

Here’s a look at some of what are expected to be the hottest toys this holiday season.
